In ancient times, there were only two things: The electrons, and the neutrons. But now… In a small corner of the multiverse there was a little tiny planet called Finglernia.
Chapter 1
Dun, dun. Dun, dun.
“Ahhh!!!”
“Ahhh!!!!!”
“Whyyyy arrrrrreeeee wheeeee fiightinnnngggg.” said Sproingy Five.
“Wah, why are we?” said Double Fisty.
Sproingy Five bounced up and down on Double Fisty. Double Fisty used one fist to jump and the other fist to grab onto Sproingy Five. With his Double Fists he started punching Sproingy Five right and left, “huh, huh, huh, huh.
Sproing Five shuttered, “Goooiinnnggg dowowowown….”
“Bye!!” waved Double Fisty, smiling to himself.
Chapter 2
A few hours later, Sproingy Five woke up. His friend, Jet Five came next to him “sup.” Sproingy Five started to explain the fight he had just been in, but then everything disappeared. He saw with a blink, “Hand seems to be liquified. He seems to be trapped in some kind of globe. And while he’s gone, everyone starts fighting again….”
Chapter 3
A few hours later, Sproingy Five woke up again. He opened his eyes and saw Sugar. “Ahhh!” he screamed and closed his eyes. He heard Jet Five laughing and when he dared to open his eyes again, Jet Five was there with a puppet of Sugar on his hand.
“Sup, boy?”
“Jet Five! I’m not falling for your tricks anymore!” said Sproingy Five angrily.
“But Team Fist and Team High Sky are teaming up. Have you heard the news?”
“But they were just fighting,” said Sproingy Five. “I was there. Double Fisty was attacking me. I’m so confused…” and Sproingy Five almost passed out again. One second later, Sproingy Five said, “Fine, let me talk to Double Fisty. He’ll tell me what’s going on.”
Chapter 4
In Tough Stuff City, they saw a street rat—Off Your Back. He was a member of the street gang. “Sup.” said Off Your Back. Sproingy Five thought to himself “Why would somebody say sup to their worst enemy. Things are really weird today.” He kept walking down Astro Avenue toward Double Fisty’s house, but at the corner his mother Miss Bounce called out the window, “Come in here, Sproingy Jr! You’re spending too much time sproinging’’ around on the street.”
“Awe, I’m not grounded, Mom! I gotta go see Double Fisty. Something’s happening around here.” Sproingy Five ran down the street.
Chapter 5
On the swift streets of Tough Stuff city, Sproingy Five saw Double Fisty aka DF Packrat, practicing his punches on Invinca-fist. “Hey!” shouted Sproingy Five. “I gotta talk to you.”
“Sup,” said DF Packrat. “What’s the problem?”
“Why are you saying sup to me? I’m your mortal enemy. We were fighting.”
“Er, I don’t have time for that. Bigger things are going on. Gotta go…” and Double Fisty walked away…
Chapter 6
In the middle of the city there was a big park with a huge field at the center of it. What most people never noticed was the small intercom disguised in a boulder at the edge of the field. Double Fisty came rushing into view across the field. He looked around to make sure nobody was watching then spoke some numbers into the intercom, and he was teleported into the boulders.
Chapter 7
Hidden inside the boulders was a mysterious cave. This cave held a very special individual, Secret Handshake. He was teleporting Sproingy Five to his not-so-secret lair, too.
He was bodily drifting to the well-known musical masterpiece, Sproingy, and was gracefully meditating on the exciting and decisive joy ride as he— “hey, get on with the story!!!” said Sproingy Five, breaking the fourth wall.
Chapter 8
“Sproingy, you were not meant to see that illusion, it was not in your league, and you should not say anything about this rare, rare occasion.” said Secret Handshake.
Chapter 9
Secret Handshake looked at Sproing and said, “Okay, let’s do this all over again. Rrrrrrrr rrrrr rrrrrrrr.
I told the Hand Minions to give a future orb that I invented to Hand, but they didn’t know where Hand was. The minions, in particular Feisty Pinky, had a cold and sensed the wrong person—you!!! So he sent the future orb to your mind and that is why you saw that really weird dream.
After you passed out, the two sides teamed-up, because Double Fisty felt guilty and wanted to live in peace. You all agreed and lived in harmony for the last 4 years. Then, I swam to Halapogos Island and gave a future orb to Hand, but because you had the power in your future orb, he… disintegrated.
“What!?!?!?!?!?!” said Sproingy Five.
Chapter 10
“M-my life is a lie.” shivered Sproing. “I’ve been passed out for four years? Hand is gone? How is this even possible?” Sproing held Secret Handshake by the throat and told him, “Talk!”
Secret Handshake said, “I’m sorry, sorry, sorry. “ Secret Handshake broke down in tears. “I don’t know what to do, ah, ah, ah, ah!!!!” cried Secret Handshake.
“We need to make a plan,” said Sproing. Miraculously, ten seconds later, Spring said, “I have a plan!”
Chapter 11
“We’ll go through a black hole to travel to a different dimension where they save hands, and see how they do it, so we can too.”
Secret Handshake stared at Sproing in shock. Sproing hadn’t been known as the best student back in the day.
Chapter 12
“Yayyyyy” s.h. said. “I agree.” They got to work. They created a molecular structure of a black hole (so they won’t die) but it would only transfer them to the dimension on top of them. From there, they hoped they could find a way to bring hand out of the future orb. It wouldn’t be easy. They would have to bring him into the quantum realm so they could then bring him through the molecular structure of the black hole, finally bringing him to them.
Chapter 13
It’s hard to describe what it’s like to travel through dimensions. Imagine it as going in a really fast car, but about a billion times worse. To travel from their dimension to the dimension stacked above them took about an hour. This might sound terrible, qbut the first few seconds are the worst. Once they were through the entrance to the wormhole, it was smooth sailing. Secret Handshake had equipped both of them with the best gear, which protected them. The gear was made out of Vibranium Hand Positioned Cyclones with a Pinch of circumference and Circumvent. It was filled with a palatial amount of oddball, eccentric, central, tangential fumes of anti-toxication filled with solar panels.
Chapter 14
Once they reached the 2nd dimension they realized this dimension had no secret agents. They raced to the next dimension and fortunately that had the agents. They found them and they were just in time for them to take out “hand” (in this dimension: Agent Astro) from the future orb. Just then Sproingy Five jumps onto Agent Fist and pounces onto his face and restrains him. Then Secret Handshake hypnotizes Agent Bump to say the truth, no matter what. They have Agent Five and Agent Bump cornered.
Chapter 15
Agent Double gets called in but he’s no help, but they realize that they’ve lost and they should do whatever the guys say. “We just have 1 question.” said Sproing. “How. Do. We. Get. Agent. Astro. Back?”
“you’ll understand why I said Agent Astro.”
“K-k-kay.” said Agent Five. Before he can answer, Agent bump says, “well, you first have to flip the future orb around then you use our frotominizer to make the future orb inside out then you activate it and ta-dah you have gotten hand out.” “Thanks.” said Sproing, and they left, with all the supplies with them.
Chapter 16
After they went out of the agents’ sight they looked at each other and started grinning; they were really excited they had actually done that. Sproing yells, “yess!!!” while shaking his sproingy fingers. When Secret Handshake gets really excited, he turns inside out. All his fingers disappear inside one giant blob that was saying, “yesss!”
“We did it! We actually did it!” said the Handshake blob. (he turns inside out then a blob when he gets excited.)
They walked out as fast as hands can, and got to their ship. It was a tight fit, but they managed to get all the supplies and the future orb containing hand on board. They contacted Double Fisty on their finger phones and told him they had done it…they had actually done it!
Chapter 17
The next step was to build the frotominizer. They sorted out all the parts they had gotten from the agents, but they realized it was an easy build. But, as they kept going, they realized it had MANY bugs. They didn’t give up, for about one hour.
Chapter 18
In one hour, 2 minutes , 3 seconds, 247 milliseconds, 5,679 microseconds, 47,679 nanoseconds, and 724,351 zeptoseconds after they had started building the frotominizer (while being so frustrated, they could not express how frustrated they were,) they realized that they could make secret handshake use his mind to craft the frotominizer with the given materials. Start reactor, a hunk of metal, heat laser, 3 energy bolts, a magazine, a lens to aim the laser, the cap, and a post-it to show how to use it.
Chapter 19
Secret handshake used his mental powers and created the frotominizer. It looked like it was building itself. And just like that, it was ready for testing. They were ready to test. They started the test on fungi first. They turned over a log and found a bunch of fungi and aimed the frotominizer at it. For a second, nothing happened. Then just after, history set itself. The fungi heated up and turned inside out. Secret handshake said, “Great! We’re ready to do this on the future orb and rescue Hand.”
‘No!” said Sprong. “That was just fungi. We need to try this out on a plant before we endanger Hand.”
They found a small green sprout and aimed the frotominizer at it. The same thing happened with the plant. At first no effect, then the sprout turned inside out, just like it was supposed to.
They both said, “Let’s do this!”
Chapter 20
They set the Future Orb that trapped Hand on a rock. “Stand back.” said Sproing.
On the count of five.” said Secret Handshake. “One, two, three, four….” Secret handshake stutters. “four and a half…four and two-thirds…..five!” Sproing turned on the frotominizer and pulled the trigger. A huge lightning bolt charged through the air. The space time continuum seemed to stop. There was a flash and everything turned white. It was only seconds but for those inside the flash, it felt like minutes.
Chapter 21
After ten minutes, Secret Handshake and Sproing felt ready for vengeance. They thought the frotominizer had failed, and that Hand would be trapped forever. They seemed to ignore the pop behind them but in the faintest voice they heard a sound “Huh?” They rush to Hand, who was small after being in the Future Orb, and give him hugs, too many for that matter.
A Year ago…
Chapter 22
Hand is on the Halapagos Island, on the beach, enjoying his time seeing the waves, sky, and sand. He knew that every cloud has a silver lining. Right when he was enjoying his time the most, Secret Handshake came up and said “hi.”
Chapter 23
Secret Handshake continued, “Did you receive a future orb?”
“No,” said Hand.
“Secret Handshake said, “Ok, that makes more sense. Remember Feisty Pinky…he forgot to give you a future orb that I wanted you to see.”
“Oh-kaaay,” said Hand. Pause…
How he does this is really, really hard to explain. The simplest way of explaining it to you is that Hand had a future orb in his. He flicked a button on the future orb. This teleported Hand to the location where he could actually see the future orb. This creates a dangerous situation. If hand fell asleep in the presence of the future orb, he could see what the future orb would tell him. OK, now do you know everything? Let’s keep going with the story…
Hand, having been teleported to the inside of the future orb, clicked the button before Secret Handshake could tell him not to.
“No! No!” Secret Handshake said. “This is too dangerous! I want you to see it as a drream—” But it was too late, Hand had teleported into the orb. But something unique happened. Hand’s eyes started glowing. He started trembling. And just then: kaboom! He disappeared with no explanation.
Chapter 24
You’ve already heard Secret Handshake’s perspective, but let me show you Hand’s perspective. Hand opened his eyes as he popped out of a bubble. All he sees is white glow. Glow, and more glow. (I think you can already tell that this is too much glow.) He doesn’t see anything but glow, as you know, and he doesn’t see anything that has to do with the future orb. Only white. This is pretty weird, isn’t it, because normally the future orb shows what happens in the future—not just white! Hand already knows this, so he’s a little confused. But then he remembered a tale that he had heard from his dad—and his dad had heard it from his dad. He remembered that if two people use the future orb at once, the second one uses it will be transported to the fever dimension. If you stayed in the fever dimension for more than two years, you would end up dead and go back to your dimension—but you’d still be dead in your dimension. Hand knew this, and knew they would come for him. He waited days, weeks, months…they never came.
But one day, he heard some shouting. He didn’t know where it was from. But in the faintest voice, he could barely hear, “We need to get Hand out! Should we test it on a plant first? Maybe some fungi.” But then, everything was quiet and he went back to his rather boring activity of sitting in the light (but not in a good way). Just then, he heard a “pop” and he felt himself teleporting. He went into his own dimension. He was happy! But at the same time, he couldn’t think of anything except Secret Handshake saying “no!—” “Huh?” Said Hand.
Back to the present…
Chapter 25
Hand looked around and said, “W-wha–. What happened?”
“It’s a long story, but do you want to hear it all?”
“Yes, of course I do! I’ve been stuck in a future orb!”
“Ok, ok, ok. You can chill!”
“HOW can I chi-?”
“Do you want to hear the story, or not?” interrupted Secret Handshake.
“Ok, I’m sorry. Because, I mean, I’ve just had a terrible year.”
“So, you got sucked into the future orb when you clicked the butto—.”
How Hand interrupted. “I KNOW all about being in the future orb. What ELSE has been happening in the last year?”
“When you go sucked into the future orb, I told Sproing that we didn’t know how to take you out, but that we needed to find a way. We decided to make a time machine and go to the past to see how the agents were doing it. After all, they had been doing it for much longer than anybody else. We saw they used a frotominzer that had to be carefully built. We made our own but it had some bugs—”
“So. Many. Bugs” said Sproing. “But eventually we were able to make it work, and here you are.”
“There’s only one problem,” said Secret Handshake. “The agents.”
Chapter 26
Sproing began, “When I was in the future orb, (not that I knew at the time what a future orb was), the vision of the future I saw was chaos. Fighting. Agents against agents. A global war. Team Fist against Team High Sky. I don’t know why the peace of the last four years will fail, but it will. We know now that what the future orb reveals always happen. I fear that war between the planets is upon us.” He saw them fighting then he looked round he saw teams fighting, Candy, Snack, Fist Bump, High Five, Fruit, Vegetable, and surprisingly, Sugar, Fiber, Hand, Secret Handshake and Apple.
Chapter 27
“Thanks for filling me in,” said Hand. “It sounds like you got me out of the future orb just in time!”
Secret Handshake said, “Ok, here’s the plan. We have to sabotage the High Sky Authority and the Bump Agency.”
“Let’s do this!” they said together.
