Volunteer Clean Up Day

With the ongoing process of future library plans, limited City resources, and effects of drought, the library grounds have fallen into neglect.

Things are especially bad at the Sharp Park Library

• Weeds are tall and proliferating across the site
• Existing native plants are dying from smothering weeds and neglect
• Garbage from the street catches in the weeds and litters parking lot
• Broken tree limbs and dead shrubs need removal

We are organizing a community volunteer clean up day to weed, prune and sheet mulch the site with a hope of future beautification and planting, perhaps as part of the Palmetto Streetscape effort.

While there is a lot to be done, in this case many hands really will make light work! Please join us to tend what we have as we look toward the future.
