Rachel began working with my son before the pandemic. Initially, they met in person, but transitioned to virtual sessions during COVID. She takes the time to truly understand the kids she works with, and owing to her patience and expertise, she helped him overcome challenges with writing. He really looked forward to their sessions and eventually wrote several short stories that he’s still proud of today. I highly recommend Rachel. She is the Mary Poppins of tutoring.

When we first brought up tutoring to our son, he was resistant. That didn’t last long. Rachel’s patient and sincere manner melted away his apprehension almost instantly. What first seemed like extra homework, we now just call, “going to Rachel’s,” and it is time he really looks forward to. The setting is wonderful and her lessons are customized. His reading has improved significantly and so has his confidence. We’re so lucky to have found Rachel for the skilled one-on-one support our son needed. ~K.G. Parents of a middle-schooler
Both of my sons were lucky enough to be tutored by Rachel. My older one especially benefited due to many evolving challenges throughout the years. From 4th grade reading, to middle school writing, to high school social science studies, Rachel adjusted her ways of inspiration and instruction. Besides the curriculum, Rachel somehow can always steer a kid’s diverging conversation back to the point he needed to strengthen. Over the years, she also helped shape my son’s view from very black-and-white to well rounded and considering. Her impact goes way beyond academics.
